THE BEST OF LIFE? - HOUND IT!
TRUTHS /// THINGS I'VE COME TO KNOW

"ONLY WHEN WE 'SHOULD' ALL OVER OURSELVES,
DO WE SH*T THE BED
OF OUR TRUE AUTHENTIC SELVES."
I remember catching sight of an article's title in a book page (DK ThPsychology Book) it read; 'The tyranny of the "shoulds" It was dedicated to Karen Horney (1885-1952) I didn't read it so much as i'd already understood it. At the time I was musing over how we become ruled by other's expectations of us. We relegate ourselves and shrink in a corner. We will imprison ourselves with 'should' when rueing something not quite successful. All this is the guilt of not living up to someone else's standards, when really at this time; everyone's felt expectations should just disappear up their own ____ (insert crude word for back-side.) Authenticity and knowing you are operating as you in the present moment, is you, doing things to your means and standards, as the ultimate standards.

"MANY MEN GO FISHING ALL THEIR LIVES
WITHOUT KNOWING THAT IT IS NOT FISH
THEY ARE AFTER."
Henry David Thoreau
This compliments what Einstein had said regarding ourselves, as trying to be birds when we are fish, this is the end of the story that is so often missing, when we convince ourselves that we want to be'X', 'Y' and 'Z' and never the 'A', 'B' and 'C' that we are so good at being.
This Henry David Thoreau quote is about 'time'.We now see the end of the story, where we are unhappy that we did not examine what we had already, and squandered it, to be a lesser fantastical version of something/someone else's life. We must be sure to 'know thy self' before we 'think we can know what we want, and run at it full force.

"YOU'RE NEVER DONE,
UNLESS YOU DECLARE YOU'RE DONE,
OR ONLESS TIME DECLARES
IT'S DONE WITH YOU."
